Along with the whole community, we are celebrating Christmas in Princeton this weekend! We will be open extended hours today (9am to 7pm).
On Friday from 4-6pm, drop your kids off to watch a holiday movie, have a snack, play games, and do a craft while you shop at Princeton's many craft fairs, antique shops, and boutiques. Recommended age: 8 +
At 6pm, the holiday lights parade will pass by the library. Look for the Friends of the Library walking in the parade! The Friends of the Library will play along with the Chamber of Commerce's theme "Reindeer Games" while simultaneously advertising a new service. Volunteers will be dressing up as reindeer and carrying extra-large "books" made to look like game guides. These books are actually cardboard boxes are realistically painted by artist Mary Lind, to represent board games the library will begin to circulate after November 17th. (This is the date of our Family Board Game Night.)
After the parade, we will also be holding our annual children's book giveaway. One new or gently used book will be given to each child until supplies are gone. To ensure we have enough to go around, we would love to have donations of gently-used and new children's books in the weeks before the 24th.

Snack: Cookies and popcorn.
Craft: Ornament-making. We have a variety of ornaments to choose from, including wood, foam, felt, and rainbow-reveal scratch board ornaments.
Games: Twister, giant Connect 4, giant Jenga, checkers, and toddler table games.
