Kristen Dorsch from the Green Lake County Aging and Disability Resource Center will be here today from 9-10:30am to tell people about what the ADRC can do for seniors. She will also distribute farmer's market vouchers which allow low-income seniors to purchase $25 worth of produce at approved locations.
The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) offers eligible low-income seniors the opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and herbs from certified farmers.
Eligibility: An interested person must be a Green Lake County resident, over the age of 60 (or 55+ if Native American), and have a monthly household income of $2,461.00 or less for one person, and $3,337.00 for two people (at or below 185% of the federal poverty guideline).
How the program works: Enrolled seniors will receive $25 in vouchers for their household. These vouchers may be used to purchase locally grown produce at approved farmers markets or roadside stands. Vouchers are good until October 31, 2026.
To obtain vouchers: Visit our distribution sites on the dates below. Vouchers are distributed on a first come, first served basis.
