NLW: Seed Library Opens

Today our new Seed Library is unveiled!

Come in and get free seeds for planting a garden that will feed both you and the bees. All we ask is that in the fall, you collect some seeds and bring them back to share with others.

Seeds will include pepper, squash, green beans, carrot, onions, tomatoes, peas, lettuce, cucumber, corn, kohlrabi, muskmelon, celery, spinach, watermelon, cabbage, sunflower, poppy, foxglove, Bee Feed mix, and Bee's Friend.

Because we are buying our seeds in bulk from a cooperative in order to save money, they will come in plain envelopes in limited quantities. All seeds are heirloom varieties grown in the midwest. To learn more about seed saving and seed swaps, go to https://exchange.seedsavers.org/

Want more help growing your own food? Check out our Healthy Soil gardening class with Ben Jenkins from the UW Extension office at 6pm on Thursday, April 22nd, and our Canning and Food Preservation class at 6pm on Wednesday August 11th.
